Why does dustin do art? It’s hard for him to say. That’s like asking him, why are you here?

Some of his art he does purely for the look of it, for the enjoyment of the process, for the feel of the brush against the canvas and the look of the colors mixing together… other pieces are more definitively caught up in a search for meaning and beauty and God.

In the end, each piece he creates reflects his effort to reach out for something beyond the individual self, at that thing that connects us all in a common story.

He’s still looking for the answers. And so he continues to make art.
